an advantage

about you

Authenticity | Clarity | Flow

what would it be like?

What can start to help is a mini-self-coaching. Timebox it to 15 minutes or so:

  • Think about what you want to change or progress on for a moment.

  • Check in with yourself: How are you feeling when you think about this?

  • Consider what it’s costing you to stay status quo, to struggle, or to put this off.

  • How does that feel?

  • Now take a minute to breathe three slow, gentle, and full breaths.

  • Then think about what could be different—think in terms of what you want (you already know what you don’t want). What are you noticing now?

My mission is simple. I want to help people in lasting evolution in how they feel, their capacities, and how they take action—for themselves, their people, and their teams. I want to help you create your life as you define and design it to be.

I help you overcome limiting beliefs and behaviors to achieve greater success in performance, wellbeing, and relationships with less stress and overwhelm and more ease and flow.

A coach is not anyone's guru. You are the best guru of you. A coach is your trusted partner. Coaching is your safe, brave place to really think, learn, and think again. I am constantly humbled by the brilliance I get to witness in my clients! I do this because I love partnering with people to help them in this!

I too have a coach. Because it can be really hard to do this on your own, whatever "this" is for you. If you could, wouldn't you have done it by now? Marcia Reynolds, one of my mentors, likens coaching to tickling. If you try to tickle yourself, your brain ignores you. If someone else comes at you with tickling fingers, well hey! Our brain wakes up and pays attention differently.

So what would that be like? What could be different for you and your life?

We slow your roll and discover together. We'll establish and get clear on your goals and desired outcomes. You are the guru of you. Coaching is a process designed to resource you and help you tap into that inner wisdom. I love working with people and teams in this way. And I’ve got a ton of training, tools, experience, and my own wisdom to add to the mix.

Together we'll explore to understand how your beliefs and the environments you operate in can trigger blockages and negative behaviours. Simply and practically, I help you develop, sustain, and enjoy enriching evolution and outcomes. More mindfully, intentionally, and purposefully. Another way of expressing this is authentically, with crystallizing clarity and generative focused action with greater ease and flow

this is dedicated you time

Are you a passionate person who...
  • Has multiple fascinations, talents and thirst for learning.

  • Maybe never fit in just one box or bucket, even though society tries to put us there.

  • Values living meaningfully, contributing to what really matters.

  • Wants to navigate life and work in way that is even-keeled and true to you.
  • Appreciates the benefits and impact of personal and professional development.
  • Is seeking a different way; considering or in transition.

Do these types of statements hit home?

  • I'm trading off between performance, well being and balance.

  • I am unclear in what I want or even what's possible.

  • I feel lost. I'm drifting, unfocused. I feel something is missing.

  • I feel bored. I'm yearning for something more or different.

  • I am so overwhelmed [or underwhelmed, unbalanced, stressed]

  • I am self-doubting, under-confident, stuck!

  • I experience a lot of stress and anxiety. It's hard. Draining. Stifling.

What would it be like to NOT be feeling this way?

What do you want?

What would it be like to be free to reveal and revel in your genuine self, tapping into your your natural intelligence, creativity and compassion?

  • Build strengths and take action, supporting performance, relationships and wellbeing.

  • Chart your unique path with clarity and tied to what really matters.

  • Be aligned with your authenticity, purpose and values.

  • Navigate with self-assurance and laser-focused action.

  • Evolve and lead yourself and others personally and professionally.

  • Enhance confidence, communication, listening, conflict management and trust building.

  • Significantly reduce overwhelm, stress and anxiety.

  • Experience your peak performance, peace and wellness, and improved relationships.

What do you want to create professionally, personally.

They say, if you are searching for the one person that will change your life, look at your reflection. AND that does not mean you have to sail alone. You can explore how partnering with the right coach can help chart and navigate your journey.

It really, really, really helps to make time to step back and paint the big picture, to allow space to think differently to figure out and take steps toward what you really want. That's what is most important and meaningful and worth your commitment. Think about Ferris's words and about what not doing this could look like, at the end of your life looking back.

Coaching is a powerful way of investing in yourself. It benefits you, your life and the people and community around you. And it ripples outward in the world. There’s nothing better.

about coaching

about coaching

Executive and leadership coaching emerged from positive psychology and diverged from therapy. It is present and forward-focused, grounded in psychology, neuroscience, and learning and development research. Collectively, I call it "leadership coaching" and it is one powerful way to help empower people in their lives. It was considered and remains an executive "perk". Today, coaching is leveraged by people at all levels, both through their work organizations and independently as individuals.

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. John Whitmore describes coaching as "unlocking a person’s potential to maximize their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them.”

Coaching helps us learn and think differently, clearing out inner critics, self-limiting narratives, assumptions and beliefs, and opening up our capacities and new possibilities.

I also like to think of coaching as a tool for you to evolve the person you are and your whole life. It's about self-actualization and leadership in all contexts; as an individual, partner, family member and friend; as a leader and peer; in groups, teams, departments and organizations.

about me

Toni & son, Beach Walk.jpeg

Originally from Scotland and a child of the hippy era, today I live with my family in Vancouver, Canada. I love experiencing other cultures and have visited and worked in North and Central America, New Zealand and Europe. When not coaching, you'll find me gardening, practising yoga, drawing, exploring cities and towns, and enjoying nature walks.

I'm sciency, fairly technical, artsy, a learning addict and an ambivert. Simply connecting with people, especially one on one and in small groups, fills my bucket. And I enjoy my alone time.

I feel grateful that I got to learn, do and be many things in my career and life. And now, as a coach, I appreciate that get to work with diverse people as a learning and thinking partner—to play even a small role in them tapping into their own multifaceted brilliance.

Coaching fascinates me, especially its connection to what is emerging in the area of neuroscience—how we can change neurobiologically and in fact—and its positive impact on resilience, creativity and realized potential. My nomadic history, non-linear career-path, and learning passions have culminated into who I am today. I've been called a polymath (and then had to look the word up) and my superpower is continuously learning and building on all that I am and bring—in service to me, my family and friends, and the human beings I partner with as a coach.

Clients tell me I am an open, trusted sounding board, immensely relatable and that I challenge them directly and non-judgmentally in ways that stimulate new thinking and progress.

My purpose, in life and work, is to be a catalyst for helping create a world of what I call "feels like a Saturday TM" lives. This means we get to do what it is that we cannot not do, where most mornings we wake up feeling like it's a Saturday.

Our aim together is more ease and flow, one step at a time. I'd love to explore what Feels like a Saturday Here TM can look like and mean for you.
